Terms and Conditions
The terms for using our website and for joining our courses, funded bootcamps and apprenticeship training.
Version: 1.0
Part A: About us and these terms
A1. Who we are. fstacademy.com is run by Fasttrack Technology Academy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14392836). Our registered office and campus is at 2 Iverson Road, Kilburn, London NW6 2HE. Our UK Provider Reference Number (UKPRN) is 10094826. You can contact us on WhatsApp at +44 7838 079175 or by post at our registered office.
A2. What these terms cover.
- Part B applies to everyone who uses our website.
- Part C applies to our fee-paying courses (bootcamps, internship, Future Engineers and self-study).
- Part D applies to funded bootcamps.
- Part E applies to apprenticeship training we deliver for a partner training provider.
- Part F applies to everyone.
A3. Other documents. Please also read our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Safeguarding and Prevent statement and Complaints procedure.
Part B: Using our website
B1. You may use our website for personal, non-commercial purposes. Please don’t misuse it: for example, don’t try to hack it, overload it, scrape it in bulk, or upload anything harmful or unlawful.
B2. Course content, videos, logos and text on this site and on thelastdevstanding.com belong to us or our licensors. You may not copy or sell them without our written permission. Code you write as a learner belongs to you, unless you write it for a client or employer project, in which case the project agreement applies.
B3. We keep information on the site accurate and up to date, but timetables, dates and funding rules can change. Anything marked “provisional” is a plan, not a promise. We confirm your timetable and terms in writing before you start.
B4. Links to other websites (for example GOV.UK, TeachCMS, YouTube or WhatsApp) are for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
B5. Registering your interest on our website does not create a contract and does not guarantee a place, a funded place or an apprenticeship.
B6. Where a funder (for example the Greater London Authority or a government department) or an apprenticeship main provider sets terms for a programme, and those terms conflict with these, the funder’s or main provider’s terms apply for that programme.
Part C: Fee-paying courses
C1. Enrolling. You enrol through our learning platform, TeachCMS (https://app.teachcms.com/register/fasttrack-technology-academy). A contract is formed when we confirm your enrolment in writing or on TeachCMS.
C2. Fees. Current fees are shown on our Fees page. Examples today:
- Software Development Bootcamp (Frontend): £250 a month in person plus a £50 registration fee, or $200 a month online with no registration fee
- Future Engineers: £120 a month in person plus a £50 registration fee, or $100 a month online
Payment details are confirmed when you enrol.
C3. Your right to cancel (consumers). If you enrol online or by phone, you normally have 14 days from the day the contract is made to cancel for any reason. If you ask us to start classes within those 14 days, and then cancel, we may charge for classes already provided.
C4. Cancelling after 14 days. Monthly courses: give us notice before your next payment date and no further monthly fees will be taken. The registration fee is non-refundable after classes start.
C5. If we cancel or change a course. If we cancel a course or cohort, we refund any fees paid for classes that won’t take place. If we make a significant change, such as moving the day or time, we tell you in advance and you can leave and get a refund for the classes not yet taken.
C6. Your legal rights. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill.
C7. Outcomes. We provide CV, interview and job-application support, but we do not guarantee a job, an internship placement with a third party, or a particular result. Outcomes depend on each learner and on employers.
C8. Internship. The Graduate Internship runs with Luul Solutions Ltd, a company connected to Fasttrack and its director. Interns work on projects as part of their training.
Part D: Funded bootcamps (Skills Bootcamps)
This part applies only once Fasttrack has confirmed funding or a delivery partnership. Until then, funded places are “register interest” only.
D1. No cost to eligible learners. If you are eligible for a fully funded place, we will not charge you anything for tuition, materials, registration or assessment.
D2. Employer co-funding. If your employer is training you in your current job, your employer, not you, pays the employer contribution (usually 10% for employers with fewer than 250 staff, or 30% for larger employers, or as the funder sets).
D3. Eligibility evidence. Before you start, you must give true and complete information, and evidence of your identity, age, address, right to work and residency, and employment status. If you knowingly give false information, your place can be withdrawn.
D4. Data sharing with the funder. Funded places are paid for with public money. We must share your enrolment, attendance, progress and outcome information with the funder, and keep evidence for audits (see our Privacy Policy).
D5. Attendance and commitment. You agree to attend at least 80% of planned sessions, complete the work set, and tell us if you can’t attend. After the course, we will ask about your job or progression outcome for up to 6 months. Please reply, because this helps keep the programme funded.
D6. Withdrawal. You can withdraw at any time without charge. Please tell us, so that we can offer the place to someone else.
D7. Guaranteed interview. Where the funder requires it, eligible learners who complete are offered a job interview with an employer. An interview is not a job offer.
Part E: Apprenticeship training
E1. Our role. For apprenticeships, Fasttrack is a delivery partner (subcontractor) of an approved main training provider on the Apprenticeship Provider and Assessment Register. Your apprenticeship agreement, training plan and funding are with the main provider and your employer. We teach the modules agreed in your training plan.
E2. No charge to apprentices. Apprentices are never asked to pay for any part of their apprenticeship training or assessment. This includes our fee-paying bootcamp, internship and registration fees, none of which apply to apprentices.
E3. Training in working hours. Our apprentice sessions are scheduled during normal working hours, as off-the-job training. We record attendance and training hours and share them with the main provider and, where required, the funding body.
E4. Employers. Employers’ obligations (wages, release for training and any co-investment) are set in their agreement with the main provider. We do not invoice employers separately for funded apprenticeship training.
E5. Complaints. Apprentices and employers can raise concerns with us, with the main provider, or with both. They can also contact the national apprenticeship helpline (see our Complaints page).
Part F: General
F1. Conduct. We expect everyone (learners, apprentices, parents, visitors and staff) to treat others with respect, online and in person. We may remove someone from a class, or end their place, for serious or repeated misconduct, harassment, discrimination, or behaviour that puts others at risk. We follow our safeguarding procedures where relevant.
F2. Online classes. Live classes take place online on Zoom. Please join from a suitable place, use your real name, and don’t record or share sessions or other learners’ images without permission. We may record some classes for learning purposes, but we will tell you beforehand.
F3. Photos and videos. We only use photos or videos in which you can be identified, for example on YouTube or TikTok, with your consent, or with a parent’s or carer’s consent for children. You can withdraw consent for future use at any time.
F4. Liability. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid for the course concerned. We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses where you are a consumer.
F5. Events outside our control. If something outside our reasonable control prevents classes from going ahead, such as a building closure, severe weather or a major platform outage, we will move classes online or reschedule them where we can.
F6. Changes to these terms. We may update these terms. The version on this page applies from its “last updated” date. We will tell enrolled learners about significant changes.
F7. Law. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
